Conservative dentistry
Conservative dentistry includes the most general disciplines cariology and endodontics. These are a complex of therapeutic and prophylactic measures to combat the most common oral infections - caries, pulpitis and periodontitis.
Cariology
The leading method in the treatment of all carious lesions is the minimally invasive approach.
Depending on the size and severity of caries, various modern techniques are applied in the obturation of the cavity - direct bonding, indirect aesthetic inlays/onlays/veneers made of composites or ceramics.
Endodontics
Endodontic therapy is the treatment of the tooth's canal system (the so-called endodontic space). Often this is the only way to preserve the tooth. The most common cause of these diseases is untreated caries.
The treatment is performed according to a specific protocol, which is based on the removal of the canal contents (microorganisms and decomposition products of the pulp tissue), mechanical and chemical treatment of the entire root canal system and the subsequent hermetic sealing.

Periodontology
Keeping the teeth healthy depends greatly on their periodontal health (the condition of the dental support apparatus - gums, bone, periodontal ligaments). In the presence of an excessive number of bacteria, a condition called periodontitis occurs, characterized by inflammation and destruction of this important dental support apparatus.
It starts with inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), the lack of treatment of which leads to the spread of the infection until it reaches the bone (periodontitis).
As a result, the supporting bone resorbs, teeth become mobile and can be lost if treatment is neglected or delayed.
This process is long and painless, so if patients do not follow their schedule for preventive examinations, the disease can go unnoticed for a long time. Деца между 2 и 6 години
Някои от зъбно-челюстните несъответствия налагат ортодонтска намеса още в тази възраст.
Важно е да обследваме състоянието на зъбите и захапката, има ли детето вредни навици, които биха довели до зъбно-челюстни нарушения, какви са сроковете за пробив на зъбите и най-важното нивото на орална хигиена.
Проследява се състоянието на зъбите и се прави обстоен преглед за евентуални кариеси. При наличието на скелетни или зъбни проблеми, напр. обратна (кръстосана) захапка, родителите следва да бъдат запознати с тях. Лечението на такъв тип захапка трябва да започне още в момента на нейното диагностициране.
Деца между 7 - 10 г. (Ранно лечение)Първата фаза на ортодонското лечение има основно ортопедичен ефект и цели да балансира силите между езика и лицевите мускули, което допринася за правилния зъбен, лицев и челюстен растеж.

Цялостно лечение с брекети
Брекетите се използват за лечение на голяма част от ортодонтските проблеми и са доказали ефективността си в годините. Лечението с тях зависи от вида и степента на разместване на зъбите и няма горна възрастова граница.
За поставянето на брекети е необходимо да се направи подробен анализ на случая, след което се поставя диагноза. Съставя се план на лечение и прогноза за продължителността, етапите и крайния резултат от лечението. Планира се и системата брекети, която ще е най-подходяща за случая.
В процеса на лечение се сменят няколко вида дъги до достигане на крайния резултат.

Ортодонтско лечение с алайнери
Какво представляват алайнерите:
Ортодонтското лечение с денталните алайнери се състои в носене на серия от подвижни прозрачни шини в продължение на няколко седмици или месеци, за да изправите прогресивно зъбите си.
Огромно предимство на алайнерите в сравнение с добре познатите брекети е фактът, че са напълно прозрачни, почти незабележими за околните и могат да се свалят по време на хранене, което улеснява поддържането на така важната за ортодонтското лечение устна хигиена и предпазва от бъдещи усложнения.
Алайнерите са нетоксични, хипоалергенни и напълно подходящи за деца.
Недостатъци на лечението с алайнери:Лечението с алайнери изисква много по-голяма самостоятелност, отговорност и сътрудничество от страна на пациента. Ако няма максимално съдействие от страна на пациента, лечението ще се компроментира и няма да постигне ефекта си.
Когато става дума за тежки челюстни аномалии, алайнерите се ползват само за временен закрепващ ефект, тъй като не могат надеждно да фиксират разположението на челюстните кости. Поради по-малкия натиск, който оказват по-трудно повлияват на тежките деформации и за такива случаи се препоръчват стандартните брекети.
Препоръки при носене на алейнери:Необходимо е да носите алайнерите по минимум 22 часа на денонощие, т.е. постоянно, като ги сваляте само при хранене и консумиране на много топли напитки.
Не трябва да се дъвче дъвка с тях, да се гризе, да се пуши и да се употребява храна с голямо количество изкуствени оцветители.
